Curriculum Implementation Philosophy exhibits Element 1.2 as it describes some of the major principal’s functions and activities I identified, as it relates to curriculum design and development. Curriculum Integration to Promote Student Outcomes exhibits Element 1.1 by demonstrating how to incorporate a school’s vision and goals into innovative instructional programs. Providing real-life experiences that promote critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity is a resounding goal for most stakeholders. Project-based learning is a form of unit planning that requires a level of innovative planning that allows educators to work collaboratively while promoting the school’s vision. Project-based learning can lead to interdisciplinary planning thus covering similar and supporting standards via a real-world application. |
Identifying Leader Positions
Rationale: Element 1.1 - candidates understand and can collaboratively develop, articulate, implement, and steward a shared vision of learning for a school.
Identifying Leader Positions exhibits ELCC 1.1 by creating a plan to assign leadership responsibilities in an intentional way. The plan starts with identifying the school needs and the positions, instructional and non-instructional, that will be needed to meet those needs. Having a well-thought-out plan and communicating that plan is a great start to creating a positive school environment and learning culture. |
