Taneesha A. Thomas, MS. ED, is a certified Instructional Technologist, a Google Trainer, Google Innovator, an Apple Teacher, an EdTech national presenter, as well as CEO of Flutter Tech LLC. She serves as a captain for Chicago’s Google Education Group, she has also presented for EdTechTeam, IDEAIllinois, IETC, and ISTE conferences. After dedicating more than twenty years in the classroom she extended her reach and spent the last eight years supporting teacher growth and building their capacity in her role as a technology integration specialist/coach. Her experiences range from 1:1 deployment and management, student support, to job embedded professional development, to creating and managing a makerspace. In 2014, Taneesha successfully rolled out the largest deployment of Chromebooks ever in the 3rd largest school district in the US, Chicago Public Schools. Taneesha was also recognized for her technology innovation by CPS and was awarded the ‘Ones to Watch’ award in the spring of 2016. She is writing a new chapter in Franklin Park SD #84 as the Director of Instructional Technology.
